Crummock to Scafell
Arriving early at Crummock Water, I set up my camera and looked through the viewfinder to see the perfect light together with the rising mist from the mornings inversion. It is how I had visualised this composition. Initially I couldn’t see Scafell, but knowing it was there from this viewing angle I waited in the hope that the mist would clear just enough for me to capture it. The light broke through on to High Crag and I was saying to myself…come on, come on!!….wanting Scafell to come in to view. And then for a brief moment it did and I just kept my finger on the shutter. The lower part of Rannerdale was an important element for this shot and was really pleased to see that a few Herdwicks were enjoying the view with me.
