Loughrigg from Lingmoor
This temperature inversion lasted for hours. When I made it back to my car at 11am it still hadn’t completely lifted. These conditions are rare as an inversion will normally disperse once the sun has been up for an hour or so. As I stood on Lingmoor Fell I was surrounded by the mist as far as I could see. The distance between Lingmoor and Loughrigg is about 3 miles, so I used a telephoto lens for this shot. I like the mystical feeling of this capture.
