ABOUT ME
Welcome to my new website which I launched on the 1st September 2021.
I was born in Macclesfield and now reside in the beautiful historic village of Caldbeck in the Lake District with my wife Sharon and our Cocker Spaniel Max.
After leaving school, I worked in the advertising industry as a print buyer working for many blue chip clients. In 2005, I left the industry to start a business with my wife Sharon which was a mixed media gallery in the Northern Quarter, Manchester.
In 2015 myself & wife Sharon opened a gallery in Hayfield called Lomas & Lomas. This was an outlet for my photography and a range of interior items such as cushions & lampshade. Many of our designs stemmed from my photography. Taking certain elements, to create pattern style designs. After an amazing 5 years in Hayfield, we decided to pursue our dream of living in the Lake District. We moved to Caldbeck by the skin of out teeth just before the lockdown in March 2020.
I am a self-taught photographer, first picking up the camera in 2003. Initially I concentrated on wildlife photography, mainly birds. Working in Manchester at that time, I also took an interest in capturing the older parts of the city. Eventually, I began visiting the Peak District & Lake District and landscapes became my main subject.
My portfolio covers the Peak District, Hayfield, the Lake District & Caldbeck. I also have a growing wildlife section.
